Newmarket will host a Clan Gathering on the McAuliffe's. This
event will include a battle re-enactment in the town and traditional
music will be heard though out the day. A session in the village
will also take place that night.

Kanturk

Kanturk will host a Cycling Festival on the Greenway. Kanturk
has 2 Cycling Clubs and will have no problem in promoting a major
cycling event for this area. A banquet will be held in front of
the Mac Carthy Castle to complete the evening events. This will
be the first Mac Carthy Clan Gathering for many years.

Millstreet

Millstreet will host an Mac Carthy and O'Keeffe Clan Gathering.
The event will be hosted on Noel C. Duggan's property, on the
grounds of the O'Keeffe Castle. This event will run very successfully
as it has the backing of Noel C. Duggan and the Development Group
in Millstreet. Millstreet is noted for hosting many major events
including the Eurovision Song Contest and will have no problem
in dealing with large crowds of people.

Carriganima

Carriganima will host a summer school on Padar O'Leary the famous
Irish Writer. The summer school will attract a large crowd, as
his works are known nationally and internationally.

Inchigeelagh

Inchigeela will host the O'Leary Clan Gathering, the O'Leary's
have hosted clan gatherings in the past and are delighted to commence
the gathering again. The gathering will include battle re-enactments,
Talks, walks on the O'Leary route and traditional music will be
held in the village that night. The O'Leary's have contacts all
over the world with different O'Leary Groupings and feel that
this event will encourage alot of overseas visitors.

Ballyvourney

22nd August 2003
Ballinvourney, which is part of a Gaeltacht Area in West Cork,
will hold a walking event on the newly developed Greenway. This
event should gather a large amount of people as the Greenway will
be officially opened for this section in Ballinvourney. In the
evening Traditional music will be held in the village and actors
will dress up in the appropriate dress of the 1600's.

Ballingeary

Ballingeary will host a Summer Agricultural Show in the village.
The show will include different traditional farm animals including
cows, sheep, goats and pedigree cattle, which graze in the areas
of West Cork and South Kerry. This event will gather about 5,000
people as the event has been running for over 40 years.
