Association will walk the O'Sullivan Beara route in the Milestone/Upperchurch
area with the
ancestors of the surname history of the area in 1703, also taking
in the Heritage History along the route.Evening entertainment
with the revival
of Platform Dancing at Shevry. Followed by traditional music,
seanchaí agus craic in the village pubs.

Hollyford was the home of the famous freedom fighter Eamon an
Cnonic. A walking festival will take place following the footsteps
of Eamon an Cnonic on the mountains in Hollyford. The days event
will end with traditional music in the evening.

Cappawhite

Cappawhite will host a walking festival, which will continue from
the walking festival in Hollyford. Cappawhite was famous for faction
fighting and a faction fighting re-enactment will take place in
the village to complement the walking festival. Traditional music
will also be heard in the evening.

Annacarty
and Donohill will host a 2 Day O'Dwyer Clan Gathering. Walks to
the O'Dwyer castle will take place; a battle re-enactment, banquet
and talks on the O'Dwyer's will also take place throughout the
2 days. Annacarty and Donohill will launch the new cycling route
and organise a 2 day cycling festival in South Tipperary. Traditional
music will be heard in the evenings.

Solohead
Solohead
will host a summer school on their famous King Brian Brou, this
event will attract a lot of International/National attention due
his importance in Irish history.

The local Community Group will hosts walks on the local area.
Talks on Brian Brou, the local Freedom Fighters, the Bardic Federation
and O'Sullivan Beara passing through the area will be given. There
will also be visits to a number of heritage buildings.

Tipperary
Town and Galbally will host a 2 day walking festival and clan
gathering on the O'Brien Clan. This event is based on the O'Brien
Clan and will include walks through the Glen of Aherlow. Visits
to the O'Brien Castle, a battle re-enactment and banquet will
also take place.

Ballylanders

Ballylanders in conjunction with Tipperary Town and Galbally will
host a third day's walking for this festival. The walk will take
place on part of the Ballyhoura Way and will also pass through
the famous virgin bog, which is being preserved by the local Community.
The day's walking will finish in the village of Ballylanders with
traditional music that evening.

Kilfinnane

Killfinnane will host the official opening of the Greenway Cycling
Route for Co. Limerick. A cycle event will take place around the
Ballyhoura Mountains linking into Limerick City. The festival
will finish in the evening in the local Ballyhoura Centre. Traditional
music will be heard also that evening in the village of Killfinnane.

The
4 above villages will host a 4 days walking festival on the Ballyhoura
Way. The event will start in Ballyorgan and cover the history
of the Palatine's arriving in this area of South Limerick. Churchtown
and Liscarroll will change their appearance to replicate the times
of 1601. These events will hopefully gather a large crowd. Also
the O'Carroll Clan will arrive in Liscarroll to have a clan gathering
on that weekend. Traditional Music will be heard in all villages.
